Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Non-profit organizations (NPOs) rely heavily on corporate communication to build trust, mobilize resources, and engage stakeholders. Effective communication strategies enable NPOs to articulate their mission, demonstrate transparency, and foster partnerships. In Akwanga Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, non-profit organizations face challenges such as limited resources, low stakeholder engagement, and inadequate communication infrastructure. Research suggests that well-executed corporate communication can significantly enhance the effectiveness of NPOs by improving stakeholder relationships and resource mobilization (Ibrahim & Musa, 2024). This study investigates the effectiveness of corporate communication in non-profit organizations, focusing on its impact on stakeholder engagement, resource mobilization, and organizational success.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Non-profit organizations in Akwanga often struggle with limited stakeholder engagement and resource mobilization due to ineffective communication strategies. Issues such as unclear messaging, lack of transparency, and inadequate feedback mechanisms hinder their ability to achieve organizational goals. This study seeks to explore how corporate communication can enhance the effectiveness of NPOs by addressing these challenges and fostering stronger stakeholder relationships.
